Research and Re-Visioning

Practice the skills necessary to acquire, apply, analyze, evaluate, create, organize, re-organize and re-vision based upon new knowledge as part of a process of lifelong learning.

Any great development, or community had a concrete plan behind it. Doing research and knowing everything you can about a specific area, or submarket is vital to a project’s real potential. Being able to account for things that are out of your control are some of the toughest things to predict, so making sure to account for sudden market changes or supply chain issues is important to keeping a project intact. The market and this industry are ever changing and something that might work now on paper might not be very good in 2 years’ time. Learning from experience and doing as much research as you can both with data and with your eyes and your gut, can help ensure less risk for a project.

Being a lifelong learner is something that I truly stand by. While my time in organized schooling has come to an end, my beginning of my career has been nothing but learning. Every day I’m learning something new and its really exciting to apply what I’ve learned and school and apply it in my career. Meeting people and learning about their experience in the industry for many more years than I’ve been alive has been something I’ve been thoroughly enjoying. I know that no one can full predict how things are going to go, but I know that someone that has been in the industry for 40 years will have a better idea than most. I am hoping to learn as much as I can in my career and apply my knew knowledge to an ever changing industry.
